Our 2017 Awards Dinner

The WeDO Scottish Business Awards are a highly respected and prestigious highlight in the annual business events calendar and are a celebration of outstanding business success.  Our Awards Ceremony & Dinner is taking place this year on Friday the 24th of November at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh.  Our guest speaker is Malcolm Mackay of United Employment Lawyers who won our 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award – sponsored by the Edinburgh Watch Company. There are a limited number of early bird tickets, half tables of 5 and tables of 10 available at reduced prices so please book as soon as possible before the early bird allocations runs out.

The evening is a fantastic mix of business, networking and socialising as well as to have some fun in the Blushbooth photobooth and if the mood takes you, dance the night away to music from every era from our DJ, Nick Mowat. With networking at the heart of WeDO Scotland, you will, of course, have plenty of time for socialising with & meeting your fellow guests. Guest lists are provided on each table so that you can easily find the people who you would like to meet.

The drinks reception starts at 6:45pm with the main proceedings commencing at 7:30pm. We don’t believe that many people enjoy sitting through hours of Awards presentations and for this reason, we only have 6 categories ensuring that the Awards Ceremony is succinct thereby enabling everyone to enjoy the evening. You will enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival as well as a delicious 3 course dinner & tea/coffee. Wine is available to pre-order for half and full table bookings and there is a bar to purchase additional drinks.

The Awards categories are as follows:

NEW START BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR – sponsored by OEM Group

RISING STAR

HIGH GROWTH COMPANY OF THE YEAR – sponsored by Everycare Edinburgh

INSPIRING LEADER OF THE YEAR

The Judging Panel from our Executive Team is this year chaired by Stuart Hunter, who is joined by fellow Ambassadors, Mike Christopherson, Pete HigginsDougie Walker & longstanding WeDO member Val Wishart of Beyond the Numbers.
