Our Supper Clubs are immensely popular, consistently selling out due to their informal and relaxed atmosphere; combining inspiration, good food, and engaging conversations.  These events provide a prime opportunity for members to connect, meet new members, catch up with familiar faces and of course be inspired by an engaging speaker sharing their entrepreneurial journey.  Our speakers don’t share a ‘rose-tinted glasses’ story, they share the challenges they’ve faced along the way, as well as lessons learnt.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Award-winning farming entrepreneur extraordinaire, Bryce Cunningham of Mossgiel Farm. Bryce is a third generation farmer at Mossgiel Organic Farm, but perhaps not the old-fashioned ‘bonnet and dungarees’ kind of farmer you picture!

ABOUT BRYCE

Bryce has a strong passion to give Scottish dairy a sustainable new future, his Mossgiel vision blends nature, nutrition and animal welfare in a modern way for the oldest industry on our planet.

In 2004, Bryce left the farm to work:

“I said back in 2004 when I told Dad I didn’t want to farm and had taken a job with Mercedes Benz – I’m not standing under the a**e of a cow for the rest of my life!  Weirdly, it wasn’t an argument… he agreed I should.”

Fast forward 10 years and he was back to his roots, having decided to ditch the suit.  It was right at the time of the collapse of the dairy industry. Today Mossgiel is a farm, a dairy and a bakery with an organic difference; and from Grass to Glass, there’s passion at every step.

Leading the way with sustainability in the sector, Mossgiel ditched single use plastic 5 years ago and has since saved just under 21 million parts of plastic.  Milk is produced without fertilisers, GM feeds and chemical sprays. Non-Homogenised allows the true, natural flavours and nutrients to stay in the bottle. Mossgiel Organic Pasture-Fed beef launched in November 2023 and has proved to be a phenomenal success.

“We banned single use plastic in 2019 entirely – all of Mossgiel is sold in only reusable containers. There are glass bottles and reusable buckets, all the way up to stainless steel churns.  In schools, universities and coffee shops – we also have our milk vending machines; so customers can dispense Mossgiel into their favourite cups without even lifting a bottle – it’s like optics for milk!!!”

ABOUT SUPPER CLUBS

In Edinburgh, our Supper Clubs are held in the private dining room of the 6th floor 1820 Rooftop Bar at the Johnnie Walker Princes Street with breathtaking views of the city and access to the outdoor roof terrace.

Places are strictly limited with tickets available for members on a first come first served basis.  By keeping these events intimate, we ensure there are plenty of opportunity to ask questions as well as an open forum where all attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the emerging themes from the speaker as well as their own experiences.  Shared experiences are at the heart of WeDO, ‘individually we can be successful, together we can be extraordinary’ and Supper Clubs give us the opportunity to do just that!
