Members Resilience, Agility & Building Foundations for Recovery
1 May 2020
12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Micro-economics might seem counterintuitive when dealing with an economic crisis. However, as we’ve seen from the way banks have dealt with CBILS, it may be too late for government economic policy to work. By the time macro-economics catches up with the real economy, the ship may have sailed for a lot of us. In that context, small and growing businesses really need to identify their own, home-grown approaches to finding a way forward.
Willie Maltman, Director of Future Proof Learning and until recently, Deputy Chair of SCDI is hosting this session for us. Like many of us these days, Willie is learning to adapt to the current circumstances and understanding how to respond to the many new challenges facing his business, his clients and his team. It is sorely testing even his almost infinite capacity for uncertainty and ambiguity!
Topics covered by Willie will include (but not be limited to):
What (recent) history teaches us about crisis & recession
How to build greater resilience in your business approach
Maintaining agile in the face of difficulty & the art of the pivot
Self-care & taking good care of your team
Learning your way out
Getting those first foundations for recovery in place
