We’re delighted to be welcoming Gordon Wilson as guest speaker at our October Supper Club.  Gordon is co-founder and Managing Director of Corporate WeDO members, Carbon Financial Partners, a financial planning and investment business which began trading in June 2011. Carbon has offices in Aberdeen, Perth, Glasgow, Edinburgh and London. The team of 43, includes 13 financial planners.

I co-founded Carbon and since that day in 2011 I have tried to make Carbon into the best business it can be.

The starting point is openness and honesty and this sometimes involves being direct. This manifests itself into the very best advice for clients. We are completely honest, we tell clients like it is, we do not create false expectations and we stand behind our advice. Our advice is always first and foremost in the clients’ interest.

Fairness is also important to me and that is reflected in how we charge for advice. We are not the cheapest, nor the most expensive; we charge a fair price which is demonstrated through the clear value we add and create. If we can’t add significant value, there is no fee to pay.”

ABOUT SUPPER CLUBS

Our Member Supper Clubs are participative, relaxing evenings enjoying good conversations, enabling members to get to know one another whilst hearing from inspirational speaker.  In Edinburgh, they are held in the private dining room of the 6th floor 1820 Rooftop Bar at the Johnnie Walker Princes Street with breathtaking views of the city and access to the outdoor roof terrace.

Places are strictly limited to 14 people with 10 tickets available for members on a first come first served basis.  By keeping these events intimate, we ensure there are plenty of opportunity to ask questions as well as an open forum where all attendees will have the opportunity to discuss the emerging themes from the speaker as well as their own experiences.  Shared experiences are at the heart of WeDO, ‘individually we can be successful, together we can be extraordinary’ and Supper Clubs give us the opportunity to do just that!
