Our Networking Breakfasts are popular events which give attendees the opportunity for high quality networking for a full hour, as well as hear an inspiring entrepreneurial journey or from a relevant topic expert.  Welcoming, beneficial, fun and outstanding networking opportunities is how guests describe our Breakfasts which take place monthly in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

THE SPEAKER
Victoria Nicol is an award winning young entrepreneur and SME leader who founded the award winning professional translation and localisation services agency, My Language Connection Ltd (MLC). Since it’s founding, Victoria has built MLC into a seven figure scaling profitable international business serving it’s clients globally through a skilled experienced specialist team of industry professionals and a strong 1,700 subcontractor network.
Victoria graduated with honours from GCU in Management, Technology and Enterprise before moving into the translation industry and starting her career in sales before quickly progressing to form part of a fast paced Senior Management Team. Through this experience she was inspired to setup and grow her own translation agency, placing her team and clients at the heart of all the business does, founding and starting My Language Connection Ltd in 2017 from her home office.
With a passion for connecting businesses across cultures, Victoria has established MLC as a trusted partner for companies expanding their global reach, with special attention to those in the healthcare sector. MLC was involved in the COVID Explained campaign in England; a project that involved translating facts, guidelines, real people’s stories and information into simple, easy to read advice in over 12 different languages.
Victoria’s experience includes the building and coaching of high performing teams under her leadership, strategy development, oversight and execution, the oversight, implementation and management to MLC’s ISO accredited standards, coaching and development of marketing, sales and projects team professionals, building and coaching leadership teams, high level client relationship management and retention, project management, sales and the oversight and delivery of company sales targets, client success, project management and delivery, supplier management, vendor management, as well as the oversight and management of recruitment, HR. With focus too on leading development teams with the development and launch of MLC’s very own translation management system technology, the My Language Connection (MLC) Translation Management System (TMS).

TICKET PRICE

The ticket price of £25 + VAT for members and £33 + VAT for non-members.  The ticket price includes tea/coffee and a bacon roll or pastries. Please select your choice when booking your ticket.

A VAT invoice will be issued once you have booked your ticket. Please note that ticket sales end at 12 noon on Tuesday 25th of February.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Tickets can be cancelled and refunded by emailing [email protected]. We regret that any tickets cancelled after 2pm on Thursday 20th February will not be applicable for refunds for any reason.  Tickets can be transferred to a different name until 2pm on Wednesday 26th February by emailing [email protected]
