WeDO Inspiration with Debbie Byers of Speaker Buzz & Beeline PR

Debbie Byers is the founder of two organisations: a strategic communications business, Beeline PR,  founded in 2011 and the motivational speaker agency, Speaker Buzz founded in June 2018. She is a senior PR consultant with broad-ranging industry expertise gained through leading agencies in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow and have worked across corporate, business-to-business and consumer clients, creating many award-winning campaigns.

With more than 20 years’ experience in public relations, stakeholder communications and issues management, Debbie is passionate about all forms of strategic communications and achieving exceptional results.

It was a love of story telling and representing inspiring people that allowed the creation of Speaker Buzz.

Speaker Buzz represents a new generation of speakers who focus on inspiring change and addressing the challenges faced by individuals and organisations in modern life – topics from mental health and wellbeing to creativity, diversity, resilience and the environment.  It’s carefully curated roster of speakers focus on inspiring individuals and organisations to make positive changes and a difference to the world. Headquartered in Edinburgh, they manage motivational speaker bookings around the globe.

Beeline PR works with corporate clients and consumer brands as well as other creative agencies looking for strategic PR and business development support.  

Services include brand building, media relations, business-to-business marketing support, crisis communications and reputation management, stakeholder and political engagement and social media strategy.  Committed to driving standards in the PR industry Debbie was Chair of Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) in Scotland 2009/10 and was winner of CIPR Best PR Consultant Under 30 in Scotland in 1998.

Debbie is a former Trustee and Chair of The Polar Academy children’s charity and a former Edinburgh Board member of Cancer Research UK’s Business Beats Cancer.
