2020 has affected us all in a multitude of ways.  Some positive, others negative.  This interactive session will examine both in order to draw out some personal learnings that members may find useful as we transition into the New Year and beyond.

Colin will draw on his experience of working with a global giant and also his work as an independent business owner pivoting into new sectors.

THE SPEAKER

    We’re delighted to be welcoming our member Colin Ramsay of Griffin Solutions Limited to host this Masterclass.

    Colin is a strategist with a track record of delivering success in demanding business environments. He has been a valued member of the Berwick’s team since 2013 and has delivered on behalf of clients including Sellafield Limited, Rolls Royce, EDF Energy and InterGen. He was privileged to work with Proman AG on a number of strategic and operational issues for over 3 years. He is a proven leader with experience of organising and building teams, developing individual and team performance while creating environments that promote equality of opportunity by recognising and valuing diversity.  His focus is business and workforce resilience.

    He has been in the lead in the development of capabilities that count for the clients. Recognised as an expert in crisis management, leadership and decision making, Colin is a ‘blue skies’ thinker who brings an innovative approach to each new challenge.

    His deep analysis of the task, excellent communication skills and appreciation of political, financial, technical or personnel issues ensures he meets the client’s needs, adding significant value along the way. He is resourceful, decisive and perceptive using his knowledge to accurately and speedily assess both risk and opportunities and deliver accordingly. He maintains a collaborative approach, building relationships and engendering willingness and enthusiasm to get the job done.

    His approach has been defined by his previous career in the British Army; with over 20 years experience of multinational, multi-agency operations across the globe. He has been formally recognised for his contribution to mission success by both the UK and US Militaries.

    He is comfortable in chaos and at ease in foreign cultures. Globally mobile, dual national, Colin is driven to support the client throughout the task with his ‘one team’ methodology.
