What was your first job after leaving school/further education??
Scottish Widows…..Pension department!!
When did you start your business & what prompted you to do it?
March 2011 – I had reached a point in my previous business where there was no immediate room for promotions. Plus I always had a burning desire to own my own business.
What did you find most challenging at the beginning?
I had to learn a new sector the energy market and become a specialist as quickly as possible…….pretty difficult!!
Who did you ask for advice & why did you choose them??
Parents…..plus friends who have their own business.
How did you fund your business?
Personal savings plus bank over draft.
What would you do differently now looking back?
Not much. We have had a fantastic start to business.
?What or who has helped you to grow your business the most?
Through my own hard work. Assisted by the staff who have joined the company over the past 3 years.
What have been the biggest challenges you’ve faced?
Recruiting the right staff. Ensuring we have continued funding.
What are the future plans for your business?
International expansion. Already have an office in Dubai and plan to open an office in Texas next year with Perth Australia another destination i am keen on.
?What advice would you give to anyone wanting to set up their own business?
It’s a very difficult market. However half the battle is actually getting out there and doing it.

Business related -? As a trainee recruitment consultant i billed the most any trainee had billed in over 20 years with my previous employer.
Non Business related – I played for Rangers football club until the age of 16…..unfort never quite made the grade!!
