We co-host the monthly Edinburgh New Media Breakfasts with our partners fatBuzz, winners of our 2013 High Growth Company of the Year Award. The New Media Breakfasts are open to both MEMBERS and NON-MEMBERS of WeDO and are for entrepreneurs, business owners, start-ups, marketing professionals and decision-makers in the private sector as well as individuals working in the public and third sectors. They provide up-to-date information about social media and how the adoption of a digital approach can transform your business or organisation. The Edinburgh events take place in Tigerlily at 125 George Street in Edinburgh and repeat in Glasgow the following day.
The New Media Breakfast events are strongly focused on why to rather than how to and are designed to allow you to make more informed choices about introducing a digital culture and social media participation. At each breakfast, there is a presentation on a specific topic followed by a question and answer session. There is plenty of time, both before and after the presentation for networking and to find out what others are doing with social media in their businesses and organisations.
In the past the New Media Breakfast topics have included subjects such as;
- Facebook for Business
- Social Media and the Bottom Line
- Video for Business
- Google Analytics and Pay-Per-Click Advertising
- Social Media in the Workplace
- LinkedIn and Brand You
MAKE YOUR BUSINESS SPARKLE THIS CHRISTMAS
SPEAKERS: Tim Barlow & Andrew Morgan – Attacat
Regardless, as we enter December, there are still plenty of last minute changes and improvements you can make to deliver a fantastically successful Christmas for your business. One of the best “levers” at your disposal is Google (and other pay-per-click (PPC)) advertising, so that’s what the November New Media Breakfast will focus on: PPC at Christmas.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday will be in full swing by the time we meet but did you know only 1 in 5 shoppers purchased a gift on Black Friday last year and only 32% had finished their Christmas shopping by December? That’s a lot of opportunity still on the table!
We will look at not only how you can prepare, but will also touch on a range of innovative ways and strategies for optimising your performance at this key time of year.
Shopping campaigns saw major growth last December and it is expected to happen again so you need to be ready to make the most of this. Shopping feed quality is crucial to this. Don’t know you’re GTINs from you MPNs or your product category from product type? We’ll make sure your able to ask your PPC team the right questions to ensure that sales are going to be maximised.
We will also cover ways in which you can use this feed for different advertising tactics across AdWords and also Facebook to ensure people come back to your site rather than your competitors. Also, the importance of audiences to reach the right people across, Shopping, Search and Display. It isn’t all about ecommerce though, and neither are feeds. We will show you how you can use feeds, Facebook and remarketing to help your lead gen PPC performance too!
Of course, with Attacat presenting the breakfast, we can be assured of a few “A” words. This time it’s AI. We’ll take a look at how machine learning is changing PPC management and the opportunities that it is presenting. We will also touch on some of other recent advancements and how they can help you as businesses with your PPC performance.
