We’re delighted to hear that the sponsors of our Annual Conference on the 23rd of May and our Awards Ceremony and Dinner on the 22nd of November, Santander, were named ?Business Bank of the Year? at the annual Business Moneyfacts Awards last night. This prestigious award validates Santander?s strategy to become the SME bank of choice and was among three awards taken home on the night. It was the fifth consecutive year Santander has won the award for ?Business Bank of the Year?.
Business Moneyfacts, the leading independent business finance guide, also awarded Santander the title of ?Best Business Current Account Provider?, the eleventh time the banking group has won the award. Santander was also successful in the ?Best No Notice Business Deposit Account Provider? category.
Lee Tillcock, Editor of Business Moneyfacts, said: ?Santander performed consistently well during 2012 and Business Moneyfacts is delighted to recognise this excellence by awarding it ?Business Bank of the Year?. This award measures all aspects of business finance, including products, innovation and service. It is assessed by our experienced research teams and is based on the data collected, analysed and displayed in Business Moneyfacts magazine and its online systems over the whole year.
?Santander?s further successes in the ?Best Business Current Account Provider? and ?Best No Notice Business Deposit Account Provider? categories, not only demonstrate the good value products offered over the past year, but also show that Santander has remained extremely competitive following its move away from its fee free business banking proposition.?
Steve Pateman, Head of UK Banking said: ?We are delighted to have been awarded ?Business Bank of the Year? for the fifth consecutive year. We have made good progress over the last year, due to our strong team and relationship approach and have been able to support more business customers than ever before. Winning at this year?s Business Moneyfacts awards highlights our commitment to British businesses, as we continue to grow our business banking division and increase our support for SMEs.?
Here at WeDO Scotland, we’re not at all surprised to hear about their win, the Santander team in Scotland have been highly supportive to our members and we are delighted to this year be continuing to further develop our partnership with them as sponsors.
