Sara Speirs of Spectrum Service Solutions has been shortlisted as a Finalist for the RBS Great British Entrepreneur Awards, under the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category.

It was another record-breaking year for these prestigious awards, receiving double the number of applications compared with last year and we’re delighted that Sara has been shortlisted in the finals. Now in their 6th year, the RBS Great British Entrepreneur Awards recognise the hard work and dedication of entrepreneurs in the UK. The awards have celebrated some outstanding entrepreneurs over the years, many of which have founded leading well-known brands.

The Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year Award celebrates those who operate in the service industry and provide a service in an original way. Spectrum are proud to offer a unique service which positions them as a market leader, and they’re delighted to be acknowledged for this. The category also looks out for the candidate’s commitment and flair for business within the sector which we know Sara definitely has an abundance of.

Over 1350 applicants were judged in total and over 300 entrepreneurs were shortlisted. There will ultimately be 56 winners across 5 regions over the entire awards, of which Sara will be competing in the Scotland and Northern Ireland region.

Judges for the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category include Shaun Pulfrey of (Tangle Teezer), Will King (King of Shaves), Hayley Parsons OBE (GoCompare) and Emma Little (ExecSpace), amongst a total of 12 judges.

Previous winners for Scotland and Northern Ireland region include Dr Graeme Malcolm of M Squared in 2017, and Sebastian Steinhauser of Parcelly won the Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2016.

We wish Sara all the best for the Gala Final, which will be held on Thursday 8th November in Edinburgh.
