The Green Room Wine Bar has launched their #DontRunOutOfWine campaign in light of COVID-19. Since February 2020, Ghislain Aubertel & Miguel Crunia have been running the venue located in the West End of Edinburgh (based at 19-25 William St, EH3 7NG) with the intention of becoming one of the best wine bars in town.
Their philosophy is clear: to serve fine wine at every price range. From small vignerons to traditional wineries but never bulk production (aiming for quality instead of quantity). They consider themselves as ambassadors of the winemakers behind the wines they pour. They are storytellers, sommeliers who don’t use technicalities and unnecessary protocols to transmit their passion for wine. They consider the educational side of wine being key to their success and engagement with their customers.
Being closed due to Coronavirus is not going to stop them bringing interesting, different and fantastic wines to wine lovers in Edinburgh and its outskirts. They’ve launched a collection and delivery service enabling customers to order online or drop in. Minimum delivery is 3 bottles, however there is no limit for customers taking advantage of the self-collection service.
Their novel approach enables customers to customise their own boxes by choosing from their extensive wine list. They are also offering themed boxes every week which will appeal to amateur wine lovers right up to connoisseurs. Private Online Masterclasses are also available as well as wine consultancy for advice, investment or setting up a private cellar.
