ABOUT MARK

Mark began his career as a corporate lawyer in the UK and India. He subsequently served as a British Army Officer and with the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office. He was awarded an MBE for his work in Iraq 2003-2005, the 2022 Peacemaker Award by Brigham Young University. He’s a member of The Change Leaders and the Law Society of Scotland, as well as Writer to His Majesty’s Signet.

Mark’s background is one of the most diverse we’ve ever heard and he has numerous fascinating stories to share, along with lessons learnt.  He has 30 years’ experience at the intersection of leadership, complexity, and conflict, Mark has worked with numerous Governments, NGOs, the Olympic movement, in corporate law and the private sector; in the UK, India, Iraq, D.R. Congo, Papua New Guinea, and Jordan, where he served for 12 years as CEO of Generations For Peace, a global peace-building organisation with more than 22,000 peace-builders in 52 countries.

He is an Associate Fellow & Programme Director at Oxford Saïd Business School, in addition to working with Glasgow Adam Smith Business School, IMD Lausanne, Henley Business School, Duke CE, the UK Government, NHS, Microsoft, Equinor, Siemens Energy, Bank of China, Visa and many more.  He’s passionate about transformational change in individuals, organisations, and communities. He provides consulting and coaching support for CEOs, business leaders and teams wrestling with leadership challenges, complexity, and conflict, focused on developing individual and collective capabilities to become high-perform.
