WeDO Scotland Conference
Thursday 18th May from 8:45am – 5:00pm
Playfair Building at The Surgeons Hall, Nicholson Street, Edinburgh
The WeDO Scotland Annual Conference is one of the flagship events in our calendar and year-on-year, we strive to bring our members and guests a conference which will bring real benefits and add value to their businesses. We have once again this year attracted an extremely high calibre of speakers as well as fantastic hosts to run our workshops. Robert Graham of Graham’s The Family Dairy and Robin Worsnop of Rabbie’s, two of Scotland’s leading, award-winning & charismatic entrepreneurs will be sharing their amazing business journeys which will be hugely interesting, inspiring and entertaining.
In light of the hot topics of Brexit, a second Independence Referendum and the impending General Election dominating headlines wherever you look, we are delighted to be welcoming Bill Jamieson who will be in conversation with Professor Susan Deacon CBE discussing ‘The Future of Scotland – where to from here?’. This will be a fascinating opportunity to hear their opinions and this session will be followed by a Q & A giving delegates plenty of opportunity to ask questions & join in the debate about where Scotland’s future lies.
The event is an outstanding opportunity to be inspired, learn from one another, share knowledge and grow your network. The conference is only one of two events that we host annually which are open to non-members, so please feel free to spread the word. In support of young people and potential entrepreneurs of the future, we offer a limited number of reduced price tickets for students. We hope you will be able to join us for a truly awe-inspiring, motivational, thought-provoking and thoroughly enjoyable day.
The workshops this year are focused on business growth, including ensuring that your team and stakeholders are mobilised in terms of your 2017 business outcomes, identifying new marketing tools, funding the growth of your business and managing your tax most efficiently. “An excellent event, great venue with an impressive list of speakers, well considered and highly relevant workshops and an interesting group of other attendees – what isn’t there to like!!“
“Great day, informative and fun, met with lots of great people and as usual, it felt very friendly and a very comfortable environment in which to network.”
“An excellent event I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others.”
“It was my first time attending a WeDO event and I was impressed by the calibre of the speakers.”
“This was a perfect mix of education on a current topic like Brexit, ministerial backing for entrepreneurs, awareness raising of funding options and some real life stories of lessons learned in business. To top it all there were relevant workshops giving practical hints tips and guidance. That was a pretty good mix and it all worked.”
“High quality speakers. Well worth attending.”
