WeDO Scotland Executive team update – thank you & welcome

Published by Admin on

It’s all change in the WeDO Executive team.  After a 6 year stint as an Ambassador and Chairman for 2.5 years, Jim Rae of Docs24 has decided to step down from the Exec team to concentrate on other exciting developments for him.  We are immensely grateful to Jim who has been a fantastic member of the team and hugely supportive to us.   He has committed a huge amount of time over the years despite an incredibly busy schedule with his own businesses, not to mention his football prowess playing in the Scotland Seniors World Cup Team.   Our thanks go to Jim for all of his hard work, idea generation, awards judging and numerous other activities on behalf of WeDO for which we are enormously grateful.   We look forward to welcoming him back to WeDO in the future and wish him all the very best for the next few action packed months.

Never ones to rest on our laurels, we are delighted to have a new Ambassador join our Exec team – Mike Christopherson of Nordic Drinks, Joseph Pearce’s, Sofi’s, Victoria’s, Boda Bar, Hemma & Akva.  Mike won our 2014 Most Innovative Business Award when he impressed the Judging Panel with the innovation he and his wife Anna have shown in the development of their Swedish bars in Edinburgh along with other exciting innovations in their future plans.

Mike has already come up with some great suggestions and new ideas for WeDO and we look forward to discussing them at our Exec team meeting next week.  Those of you who know Mike will know he is a great character and hugely personable, as well as being incredibly humble about his considerable business success.  Welcome on board Mike and we’re sure the members will join all of us in the Exec team in congratulating you in your new role, we really look forward to working with you.
