Sales + Marketing: Turning Attention Into Revenue
“Marketing should create opportunity. Sales should turn that opportunity into revenue. When the two genuinely work together, that’s when businesses grow.”
You can have the best product, service or business in the world. But if you can’t attract the right customers and convert them into sales, it doesn’t really matter.
For businesses in Scotland right now, growth isn’t getting any easier. Customers are more cautious, competition for attention is relentless, acquiring new business is expensive and AI is rapidly changing how we both market and sell.
And the old divide between sales and marketing simply doesn’t work anymore.
If you’re wondering where your next customers are coming from, whether your marketing is really working or how to generate more revenue without simply throwing more money at the problem, this is one WeDO event you won’t want to miss. We’re bringing together two experts from opposite sides of the same commercial equation:
Peter Barclay, Chief Strategy Officer and co-owner of Sales Geek Scotland, whose mission is to change the way the world perceives sales. Sales Geek work with all sizes and sectors of businesses delivering fractional sales leadership to create strategic sales plans and process, whilst working with your business to fully embed them and drive growth into the mix. They develop sales skills through expert-led sales training, mentorship courses and events.
Joining Peter is Jak Carlin, Founder and Managing Director of Alleyoop, a leading performance marketing agency with offices in Glagow and London, which helps businesses drive brand awareness, leads, business and growth. Alleyoop is a leading performance marketing and media agency, helpin businesses build their brand, generate leads, and grow … profitably.
Together, they’ll explore what’s actually working right now when it comes to attracting customers, generating leads and, crucially, turning those leads into profitable revenue.
WHAT WILL BE COVERED?
- Building a stronger sales pipeline & converting more leads
- Marketing ROI
- Changing buyer behaviour
- The role of AI in sales + marketing
They’ll also be tackling some of the questions many business leaders are asking at the moment:
- Are traditional sales techniques still working?
- Is digital marketing becoming too expensive?
- Should you invest in brand or lead generation?
- How do you know if your marketing is actually delivering a return?
- And why do some businesses generate plenty of leads but still struggle to turn them into revenue?
Expect no jargon, no textbook theories and no sales pitches. Instead, Peter and Jak will share what they’re seeing on the ground, the common mistakes businesses make and practical ideas you can take back into your own business.
This event is for entrepreneurs, founders, CEOs and senior business leaders who want to grow – whether you handle sales and marketing yourself, have teams doing it for you or simply want to know whether you’re investing your time and money in the right places.
