IN CONVERSATION WITH GAVIN BELL OF TALO EXITED ENTREPRENEUR BY THE AGE OF 30

Would someone want to buy your business, even if you have no intention of selling?

For Gavin Bell, that question should shape how you build your business from the outset. His belief is simple: every business should be built to the standard of being sellable, whether you ever plan to sell or not.

Join us for an honest conversation about building business value, the reality of an exit and starting again with the benefit of experience.  Whether you’re focused on growth, considering your longer-term options or wondering what your next chapter might look like, Gavin’s story offers plenty to challenge your thinking.

Having founded Yatter in 2021, Gavin grew it into one of the UK’s leading independent paid media agencies before selling to Velstar Group just three years later, aged 30. The agency had worked with more than 250 brands globally and managed over £10 million in annual advertising spend, with clients including StreamYard, Hopin, Aberdeen FC and Chelsea FC.

But the acquisition announcement only tells part of the story. Gavin speaks candidly about the emotional reality of selling, what happens to your identity afterwards and the gap between the LinkedIn version of entrepreneurship and the experience of living it.

Now he’s building again. In May 2026, he launched Talo, a UK men’s health brand, with his brother-in-law, pharmacist David Massie—bringing a fresh perspective on entrepreneurship the second time around.

For WeDO, this is also a welcome return. In 2016, Gavin became our youngest-ever New Start Business of the Year Award winner. Ten years on, he returns having built, scaled and sold a business, with the experience and perspective that come from seeing the journey through.

Expect candid insights and the opportunity to put your own questions to Gavin.   Remember, you don’t need to be planning an exit to benefit from understanding what makes a business worth buying.   Book your place and join the conversation.

You’ll enjoy a full hour of high-quality networking – real conversations with people who get it.  Then, hear firsthand from inspiring entrepreneurs or topic experts and occassionally professional sports people who’ll spark new thinking and challenge the status quo.

Attendees describe these events as welcoming, energising, fun and invaluable for building the kind of network that actually moves your business forward.  Non-members can attend 2 breakfasts maximum per annum.
