Then, hear firsthand from inspiring entrepreneurs or topic experts who’ll spark new thinking and challenge the status quo.
Attendees describe these events as welcoming, energising, fun and invaluable for building the kind of network that actually moves your business forward. Non-members can attend 2 breakfasts maximum per annum.
Nikki Gibson is the founder of SWURF, which launched in Edinburgh during the pandemic, SWURF connects remote and hybrid professionals with underused hospitality spaces, from cafés and hotels to co-working hubs, turning them into vibrant, off-peak workspaces. Unlike traditional venue apps, SWURF builds community, offering exclusive perks and a growing calendar of co-working events.
SWURF now partners with over 400 venues across the UK, supporting the rise of the hybrid workforce and championing a more flexible, community-led approach to work. Data collected from SWURF indicates that the platform has generated an impressive £1.8m in revenue for host partners, while building a user base of over 11,000.
In July of this year, Nikki landed a six-figure investment backed by the Techscaler programme, Scottish Enterprise,and private investors which will supercharge SWURF’s rollout. SWURF is also laying the groundwork for a £1 million raise later this year to support further global expansion.
Additionally, Nikki appointed three heavyweight industry leaders to its board, signalling a bold new phase of growth across the UK and Europe. This latest investment round includes follow-on funding from existing backer Gareth Williams, co-founder of Skyscanner, reinforcing his continued belief in the platform’s mission and potential. Gareth has also joined the newly formed SWURF Board which is chaired by Alison Grieve, Scott Leckie, SWURF’s former fractional CTO and Daniel Rodgers, founder of Scottish success story QikServe.
With over 25 years of experience in the events and hospitality industry, Nikki recognised early the opportunity to repurpose underused space in a post-pandemic world. Her mission is to help people work well, anywhere – while driving footfall and revenue back into the hospitality sector.

TICKET PRICE
The ticket price of £25 + VAT for members and £33 + VAT for non-members. The ticket price includes tea/coffee, fruit juice and a bacon roll or yoghurt with granola and berry compote. Please select your choice when booking your ticket.
A VAT invoice will be issued once you have booked your ticket. Please note that ticket sales end at 5pm on Wednesday 24th September.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Tickets can be cancelled and refunded by emailing [email protected]. We regret that any tickets cancelled after 2pm on Thursday 18th September will not be applicable for refunds for any reason. Tickets can be transferred to a different name until 2pm on Wednesday 24th September by emailing [email protected]
