Richard was announced as Chair of WeDO in October 2024 and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to lead our Advisory Board. Richard is for the second year running, hosting the ‘In Conversation” fireside chats at our Conference taking place on the 6th of November.

I was as surprised and flattered in equal measure when Belinda asked me to become Chair of WeDO. It is an honour I’m delighted to accept and I’m excited by the opportunity to continue to champion Scottish entrepreneurship alongside my colleagues on our Advisory Board. With an exciting programme of ticketed and unticketed events, including our flagship conference on 6 November, I’m looking forward to continuing to collaborate, support and learn from our members and welcome new members and partners into the fold.”
Richard joined Tayburn in 2008 as Head of Business Development before becoming Marketing Director 18 months later. He is accountable for Tayburn’s sustainable profitable growth and is passionate about creating a remarkable environment for their people to do remarkable work for their clients. Tayburn recently announced a strategic alliance with equally long-established creative agency, Lewis, which acquired Tayburn earlier this year, resulting in the formation of the Limitless Innovations Group.
Richard is also an Investor and Advisor at Riixo® – creators of the worlds first sport and injury recovery cuff.
He is a passionate advocate of balancing mindset and sport, he took up CrossFit training in 2016 which he believes has transformed not just his fitness but also the benefits it brings to his mindset in business.
