Announcing WeDO Scotland’s expansion into Glasgow

Published by Admin on

We were delighted to announce the launch of WeDO Glasgow at our Awards Dinner on the 24th of November.  From back in the early days, we had always known that it would be beneficial to our members for us to be in both Edinburgh and Glasgow and the time for that is now right.

We’re thrilled to have identified a fantastic Executive team in Glasgow – Gordon White of fatBuzz (our New Media Breakfast partners), a previous winner of our High Growth Award will be chairing the Glasgow Executive team and he is being joined by Nick Cohen of pcr and bizanywhere alongside Danny McIntyre of Primestaff.  With a wealth of experience, contacts and success behind them, they are the ideal people to help us to grow WeDO and develop our Glasgow membership.  We will be adding to the Glasgow Executive Team in the future as our membership grows.  Next year’s Awards Dinner will be taking place in Glasgow in recognition of our commitment to our West coast members and our other events in Glasgow next year will be announced over the coming weeks.

“We’re thrilled to be launching in Glasgow and to have such a high calibre Executive Team working with us for WeDO Glasgow.  Glasgow has an abundance of successful entrepreneurs and we’re excited to take our unique concept to the West.  Our App will enable members to easily connect with one another;  benefit from peer to peer learning and support, as well as being able to attend our events in both cities regardless of where in Scotland they are based.  We’re looking forward to a fantastic 2018 for both WeDO Edinburgh and WeDO Glasgow.  My thanks to Gordon, Nick and Danny for agreeing to join me and the Edinburgh Executive Team on this next phase of our journey.”  Belinda Roberts, WeDO Scotland Founder

“I’m delighted that WeDo Scotland is coming to Glasgow in 2018 and it’s an honour to be part of the new Glasgow Executive Team. I have been a member of WeDo Scotland since its inception in 2008, so I have first-hand experience of the privileges and benefits of membership; the willingness of the members to share their knowledge and experience makes it fantastic organisation for business owners.  The expansion to Glasgow is a very welcome first step in widening opportunities for business owners throughout Scotland.

I’m looking forward to working with Belinda and the Glasgow Executive Team to build the membership and create a first-class programme of events in Glasgow.”

NICK COHENpcr & bizanywhere

“I can’t wait to get started and host our first event. I’m looking forward to building on the success of WeDO in Edinburgh and bring this into a Glasgow setting. Hopefully we’ll also manage to get members travelling between the two cities and build a group of ambitious businesses.”

“Joining the WeDO Executive team is a wonderful opportunity to grow into a very interesting area of business life. I am looking forward to growing the WeDO  family and brand along the way and I look forward to a bright and exciting future.  I am sure there will be a lot of fun along the way too!”

Plans for our first Glasgow event will be announced early in the New Year and we will keep you posted once these are confirmed.

We’ve not yet added Executive Team profiles for Gordon, Nick and Danny but these shall be live soon.
